Alvor Beach No4

I love the beach at Alvor and have painted it many times, each one selling sometimes before the paint is quite dry.

Although labelled as ‘No.4’ this is actually the 7th in the series but I noticed that I’d mislabelled them and missed out the number 4 so even though it was painted after the others, it is actually the latest one!

I love the colours in the rock formations and the way the light highlights their cragginess. This one was painted as the sun was setting, throwing rays of golden light into the gently lapping sea.
