I found the COVID lockdown one of the most productive periods of my life, probably because the literally was nowhere to go so I could fully immerse myself in sorting through the thousands of photographs I have taken over the years with the intention of painting that scene ‘one day’. This one was actually a combination of two photos - one of the surfer and another of the waves. I posted it on line and it sold within days to a couple in California.
