I painted this scene during the Covid pandemic when we all had to stay away from each other! The beaches of the Algarve were virtually empty - difficult to imagine now that it’s all behind us! This scene describes how the few people that did venture out were careful to keep socially distanced. The original painting sold via social media within days of being finished and I have been commissioned to do several renditions since replacing this or that person with a specific customer. The limited edition prints have also been very popular.
