I often go to the beach during the quieter seasons to paint the waves. They're obviously always on the move so trying to capture a moment in time can be a challenge, but it's a rewarding one. And what better way to spend an afternoon than soaking up the sounds and smells of the beach. This one was painted along the coast from my studio on the Algarve.
