On the west coast of the Algarve there is special viewpoint that takes the breath away of every visitor that stumbles across it. The road out to the beach from Aljezur suddenly swings 90 degrees along the cliff top and your senses are stunned by the breathtaking beauty of the rugged southern european coastline. There is a convenient lay-by for tourists to take photos which is where I set up my easel to paint this scene.
