This piece was actually more complicated to produce than it looks. I had the idea of recreating the innocent joy we all experienced as children when we visited the seaside, so I used an image I had taken of the vast openness of one of the south coast beaches and then added in from a collection I had taken of children playing, then I then lowered the sun in the sky to get the best depiction possible of wet sand. I’m very pleased with how it turned out.
