I love the undisturbed beaches of the Algarve’s west coast. This one is Praia do Amado near Carrapateira which is normally a favourite spot for surfers but this particular winters day we were the only ones there. There’s something really otherworldly about being alone on a beach. The sound of the waves and the taste of fresh sea air fills your senses and calms even the most cluttered mind.
