Banks of Arqueva

I took a group of students to central Portugal for a long weekend painting outdoors on the banks of the Arqueva lake in the Alentejo. We found a shaded spot and set about trying to capture the light reflecting on the water and the way it made the leaves on this old tree shimmer in the heat.
