Morning Coffee in Maggiore

On a visit to the 'Lake District' of Italy my eye was caught by the light on the solitary gentleman's head in the middle distance, so I took several photos and got out my brushes as soon as I got home.

At the time I decided to leave the painting partially finished as I liked the white chalk sketch I'd used against the black coating of the canvas. I'm still undecided if I'll finish it or not, maybe I'll let the next owner decide.
