Algarve Coast

This is a much seen iconic image of the Algarve but none of those photographs really focus on the amazing range of colours there are in the rock strata here.

I’ve painted many renditions of the south coast of the Algarve, which have always been popular and have sold pretty much as soon as the paint is dry. I never tire of painting rocks and spend as much time as possible out along the coast with my portable easel painting quick 2 hour sketches that I can use to work up a larger piece in my studio.
