Chiang Mai

Sadly it’s not always possible to take my oil painting kit with me on long haul flights so I have to content myself with a sketch book and decide whether to reproduce it when I get home in my studio. I sat outside this gorgeously intricate temple in the north of Thailand with my little book and paints and got to meet a charming and curious monk who gave me a guided tour of the complex once I’d finished my painting.
