Blue Flowers

This piece was inspired by the beautiful iridescent flowers called Lampranthus that pop out all over the Algarve along roadsides and hedges in early Spring.

After painting a traditional pink version, which looks stunning on the wall of my guest bedroom, I decide to create a blue version that glows against this black gesso ground.
