They say the window to the soul is in the eyes - I have always loved to try to capture that sense of spirit - from early sketches of school friends years ago, to commissioned portraits of loved pets and family members that I do today. I paint what makes me happy - hopefully my paintings can transfer that happiness to others.
After studying graphic design and advertising at both Swansea and Bournemouth & Poole College of Art & Design, I worked for over 20 years in the design industry. Now that I have left the rat-race behind, I spend my time at my home in the hills of Monchique on the Algarve, Portugal, practicing my original love of painting and sketching. I also teach drawing and painting classes at my home.
